This year, we're introducing new additions to make your evenings even more enjoyable, including lawn games like ladder ball, bocce, frisknock and washer toss.

2026 Zig Zag Regatta

Join us for a day of competitive fun with an exciting course to challenge our sailors of ALL ability levels, ages 8 to adult. Sail alone or in tandem, bring your own boat or contact our Head Sailing instructors to arrange use of one of ours. The goal is to do 5 races with completing a minimum of  3, weather permitting.

If you would like to borrow a boat from ZZYC, please let us know before Friday so that we can make sure we have enough ready. The boats we can offer are ILCA 6 & 7 (Lasers, Full Rig and Radial), 420s, Fevas, Optis, and 29ers. Please contact our Head of Sailing, Aislyn, at aislynbreiter@icloud.com to reserve.

Regatta Schedule:

8:30am - Arrive / Rigging boats

10:00am - Skipper meeting

10:30am - Warning signal for first race of the day

3:30pm - Latest start time for last race of the day

4:00pm - Off the water

5:00pm - Regatta BBQ / Awards (Included in registration fee)

Lunch will be provided to racers on the water

* Registration only required for those participating in racing. Free event for others to come watch. BBQ available for purchase for those not entered in races.

ZZYC Fishing Derby: Saturday August 8th 

Attention all fishermen, fisherwomen and fisher kids alike! Join us for the 4th annual ZZYC fishing derby sponsored by TBD on August 8th. This  one day competition will have plenty of prizes up for grabs at the end of the day. Show off your fishing skills as you attempt to catch the biggest and best fish.

The competition is open to all, regardless of experience level or age. Families and kids are welcome and encouraged! 

Event runs 9:00am-4:00pm - Start whenever, end whenever just check in at ZZYC first, then weigh in when your done. Awards at 4:30pm
