Youth Tennis Lessons - Beginner / Intermediate Level (First Serve Group - small court, smaller ball, requires ability to get a rally going)
Tennis is back to its best in 2023! The tennis community has always been home to the club's most passionate and loyal members. After 3 long seasons of restrictions, social tennis events are back in full force and we’re introducing new programs to help you improve your game.
George Kylar, Tennis Canada certified Level 3 coach, is back for 2023, and will be bringing a new format to tennis lessons this summer.
After years of running lessons by his Dad’s side, Kevin Kylar has accepted a full-time position with the WTA, and will be unable to return as a coach at ZZYC. We’d like to thank Kevin for his kind professionalism over the years and offer a big congratulations on the exciting new career path!
Lessons (New Format)
We've put together a new format to give players more dedicated time with coach George, as well as dedicated matchplay to practice what they’ve learned. We’ve also priced the new format to make lessons more accessible.
Adult lessons will run for 1 hr 30 minutes and will be a max of 8 players split over two courts. One group of 4 will start on court with active coaching from George whilst the other group will begin match play practicing what they learned the day before, overseen by George. After 45 minutes, the groups will switch.
Kids lessons will have a max of 6 players per session, allowing George to spend more time with each child and develop their game.
Session 1: Monday, July 17 - Friday, July 21
Session 2: Monday, Aug 7 - Friday, August 11
