Boat Parade and Jazz on the water

Welcome to our first annual Boat Parade and Music Night! 

We are encouraging everyone to "use what they have" to decorate their boats for the parade. Anything goes. Have old Christmas lights, a giant inflatable unicorn floaty, or a pirate flag laying around? Tie it to your boat and come on down! You're also welcome to join without decorations.

We'll be meeting at 4pm at the ZZYC docks to start the Boat Parade.  From there, we'll head toward Woodchuck Bay, then towards Deception Bay before meeting back at the Club around 5 pm  for an evening of Jazz (see route map below). If you'd rather just come for the music, you're welcome to bring a blanket and enjoy a drink on the lawn at the Club. 

ZZYC is excited to welcome Winnipeg’s Jazz duo, Naomi Peters & Jonathan Alexiuk for Jazz on the Water, Sunday, August 9th starting at 5pm. Join us for a lovely evening of Jazz standards and other classics you’ll be sure to love. 

Naomi and Jonathan have been playing together on Winnipeg stages for nearly a decade.  They're frequently at Kristina’s on Corydon and recently as a part of the International Jazz Festival’s “Apart Together” online concert series. Always bringing a smile to the stage, this duo is well worth the watch.
